“Welcome to Camp Read-A-Lot” Accelerated Reader Program 2026-2027

What is AR (Accelerated Reader)? The purpose of Accelerated Reader is to manage independent reading practice, motivate students to read more, and check reading comprehension. It does this by helping students pick books at their own level, computer quizzes after a book is finished, and tracking progress.

Library Opens:  Thursday, August 20, 2026

AR Begins:  Friday, August 21, 2026

AR will run with the 9 weeks grading schedule.

Period 1: August 20th - October 9th

Period 2: October 13th - December 18th

Period 3: January 6th - March 16th

Period 4: March 17th - May 12th

AR Ends & Library Closes:  May 12, 2027 

Family Reading Nights We will be extending our library hours for students to read, research, check out books, and take Accelerated Reader quizzes.  A parent or guardian must accompany students for the extended hours.  We will be open from 2:30-5:00 on the following days.  Please enter and exit through the side gate (park in the front parking lot) by the cafeteria.  We look forward to seeing you.
