-  Graduated with a pre-med degree from Berry College in Rome, Georgia in 1990 (Biology major, chemistry minor)

-  Graduated from Valdosta State University in 1996 with a Master’s in Educational Leadership

-  Taught High School Science from 1990-1997.  Coached baseball, softball and football during that time.

-  Successful college baseball player (all 4 years)

-  Have had two suspense novels published

-  Began school administration career in 1997

-  4 children (Connor, Ellen, Madelyn, and Edward)

-  Curriculum design was focus area of Master’s.  Have worked in that arena much during my career.

-  Curriculum Director, Principal, District Director of Non Instructional Personnel, and Asst. Principal 

-  Superintendant Of Schools in two States (Montana and Florida)

-   West Side Team Lead for Differentiated Accountability Region 2 (worked closely with all schools in Columbia County for School Improvement) for the Florida Dept. of Education.

-  Owned two Sylvan Learning Centers (Live Oak and Lake City) from 2005 to 2012.  Was one of the largest NCLB tutoring vendors in North Florida, serving 5 counties, including Columbia.  During that period the two Sylvan centers served over 2000 total students (public and private combined).

-  Hobbies include writing, reading, cooking, hunting, fishing and coaching ball.
